Alex is Director of NLU & Emerging Experiences at Truist where she leads a talented team of Designers and UX Writers focused on leveraging NLU/NLP capabilities to create more personalized experiences for clients. She helps align teams across the Enterprise toward a broader vision as they implement these capabilities in a way that adds value to clients—whether it be through insights, forecasting, proactive notifications, or natural language understanding. She and her team are passionate about putting humans at the center of design and pushing the envelope on what “could be” done within the world of multi-modal design, as advancements in technology have created a new realm of opportunities for mobile & digital engagement. Prior to Truist, she designed for several top brands with a focus on mobile experiences and AI platforms. Some of her favorite past work involves enhancing the OOBEs for various hardware products at Google and leveraging data-centric platforms, like Watson and Text Analytics to deliver more value to the end-user at IBM. She’s passionate about co-creation methodologies and partnering with teams to adapt these methods to various business contexts. She also enjoys partnering with local colleges to evolve and improve their curricula and currently serves on the advisory board for USF’s Digital Marketing for Executives Program.
