Maria Alonso is the Director of the Voice of the Customer program at AARP. She has been in the AARP’s Experience team for about six years helping the organization see their operations with consumer lenses. Maria started her career twenty years ago as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC). She worked on Audience Management at Discovery Communications and had stints at Havas Helias and the Organization of American States. She has her MBA from Loyola University Maryland, a bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from Universidad de la República and she is a Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCXP). She is originally from Uruguay and has been in the United State for the past fifteen years. She lives in Bethesda with her husband and three children.
