Wei Ding

Dr. Wei Ding, PMP is a Sr Product Manager and Strategist in the Office of Financial Education at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. She has more than 30 years of experience in digital product strategy, user experience design and IT program management in Federal agencies and private sectors. Prior to joining CFPB, Wei held user experience leadership positions at the Federal Aviation Administration and US Patent and Trademark Office where she helped establish and grow the user experience discipline and promote the user centered design process. She has successfully led the vision creation, design and execution of a number of large-scaled consumer facing websites and applications at Vanguard and Marriott International. As the first author of a UX book with its 3rd edition upcoming, Wei frequently speaks at various professional conferences and has published 20+ research papers. She holds BS/MS degrees from Peking University and a PhD degree in human computer interaction from the University of Maryland, College Park.
